Our Pastor

Pastor Clifton Shaw Jr. has a divine calling in his life and his election has been made sure by Our Father and Our Lord Savior, Jesus Christ. Pastor Shaw has dedicated himself to studying and understanding the Word of God. During his maturation, process he grew to love the Word of God as he faced life’s challenges. In fact, for the past few years of his Christian journey, he devoted his time to studying the four gospels. He longed to know the heart and mind of this man they called Jesus. As an adolescent, he openly gave his life to our Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized. Several years later, he had a divine encounter and received a call from God to lift up his voice as a trumpet. Yet, it would take the Holy Spirit several more years to give him the confidence to minister the gospel of Jesus Christ. His message is to proclaim the Gospel of the Lord Jesus throughout the nations. Mark 16:15 reads, “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature”. (KJV) 

 

His service in the Church of God in Christ began in 1972 at Nash Temple where he served as a Deacon. In 1976, he became the President for the District YPWW as well as a superintendent for the Sunday school service. Pastor Shaw continued to serve the Lord in all areas of the Church and was obedient to the Pastor of Nash Temple. Then, in 1978, he was ordained as Elder under the late Bishop B. R. Stewart of the First Northern California Jurisdiction. Prior to being part of a Church, his "real world" work experience included various positions in facilities and distribution management. Pastor Shaw is self-motivated in learning the Word of God. He was called to the ministry of helps on several churches. God continues to mold and shape Pastor Shaw and instruct him on showing love no matter the situation as well as to continue to love his wife, balance ministry and family so neither would go lacking. When you let the spirit of God lead your life you will succeed through Christ. 

 

In 2006, Pastor Clifton Shaw Jr. was called to assist in the ministry of God’s House of Release, but in less than a year’s time God led him to start his own ministry. In 2007, Pastor Shaw started Judah God’s House of Praise Ministries. As of today, Pastor Shaw preaches and teaches the gospel of Jesus Christ with great conviction. One of his main focal points is to produce spiritual growth in every individual he encounters and to provide an avenue of deliverance for those that are bound emotionally, spiritually and physically. He strives to uphold the charge that Paul gave Timothy, “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine (II Timothy 4:2).” His messages are passionate and appealing to the thirsty soul. One can sense the love of God flowing from him as he ministers the gospel. He is a man of vision and is fully committed to the call, which he believes is the “perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the Body of Christ (Ephesians 4:12).” 

 

Pastor Clifton Shaw Jr. has a passion, drive, and heart to see the Body of Christ strengthened, encouraged, and moving forward in the ways of God. He truly is a compassionate man who recognizes Christ as the ruler of his life. Pastor Shaw is a successful business owner and a respected member of his community. Most importantly, he believes in delivering the message of Salvation, which says that God truly forgives, heals, and restores.
